March has been a busy month for the BWYA Wolves Basketball teams, with plenty of wins added to the ‘W’ column.

On Saturday, 21st March, BWYA hosted the ISAC Boys’ U14 Division 1 basketball exchange at our new sports center at the Laiguangying campus. A total of six schools took part in the event in a full day of basketball matches and the Wolf Pack picked up a win and were narrowly defeated by a strong Dulwich team. It was a great occasion for BWYA as it was the first time we have hosted other schools at our new campus and all the staff and student volunteers who gave up their Saturday ensured it was a great success.

The  BWYA Wolves Girls U14 Basketball squad was a force to be reckoned with at the ISAC Division 1 exchange hosted by BSB. With an accelerated format in place, the team had a chance to play six 20-minute matches. After a slow start, losing two very low-scoring defensive matches early on, the Wolves found their groove and started playing some strong team basketball. Our program drew compliments from other coaches, who admired our discipline and organization on defense, as well as our strong mid-range shooting. The Wolves carried themselves well, and were great representatives of the school. They finished the day 3W – 2L – 1D.
